Mattix and Hailey

Mattix is now 2 months I can't believe how fast it has gone. He now is a lot more active and move his arms and legs a lot. He smiles a little bit and makes lots of little noises. He is a sweetheart. He just melts me when I hold him. He still is the perfect baby. Sleeps a lot and doesn't require much at all. He is just as happy and content as can be. In fact last night he slept 8 hours I was so happy to get sleep! He had his shots on Monday and didn't like those too much but was asleep as soon as we left the Doctors office, but that night was a rough one. You could tell his little legs hurt. Poor little guy. Here are his stats at 2 months old...

Weight: 10 lbs 13 oz. (28 percentile)
Length: 23 inches (52 percentile)
Head Circumference: 16 inches (75 percentile)

He is definitely smaller than Hailey was. Hailey is so tall for her age and she has long legs. Mattix.... not so much. But he is pretty perfect to us. We just love him so much.

Thanksgiving

A little time in St. George, a little time in Richfield with family. It was a great Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for. I am most thankful for my family, husband, and our beautiful children.

Christmas Tree

Justin and I took the kids up on Cedar Mountain to cut down a tree. It was so cold and windy. We cut down the first couple of trees we saw. The kids stayed in the truck while we hauled the tree up the hill. I felt like the Griswold family from Christmas vacation. It was a lot of fun though and I want to keep doing it every year with our little family. Here are some pictures of the trip and I must say our tree is beautiful, I will post some pictures of it when I ever find time to decorate it. We even cut down Hailey her own little tree, which she loves. And of course some new pictures of baby Mattix.

6 Weeks old...

I can't believe Mattix is almost 6 weeks old he is the best baby boy ever. Here are some things about him right now...

He sleeps great only eats about every 4-5 hours
Never fusses in the middle of the night
Has a cranky time from about 8:00-9:30 just like your sister did
Has never cried in the middle of the night for more than 10 minutes
Sleeps better at night than his sister does
Doesn't like formula- only likes momma's milk
Smiles a little bit in the morning
Has only had 2 blowouts since you were born
Has only spit up one time since you were born
Rolled over last night from his stomach to his back
Doesn't care if he has a dirty diaper- he is just always happy
Bobbles his hear around now when you try to lay him on your chest
Is an awesome nurser
Wrinkles his forehead a lot
Hates loud noises especially when I do dishes
Likes to watch his Momma
Gets big hugs and kisses from his big sister
He doesn't like baths at first, but then warms up
Has crazy hair- I still can't control it
Has really curly hair when it's wet
Has blue eyes... so far we'll see if that stays
Doesn't do faces like his sister did when she was a baby
His cry sound like a baby girl
Still drowns in 3 month clothes- they are still way too big
Newborn clothes are just a little snug
Has a big head- I can't stretch any of his clothes over his head
Sleeps on his back (Hailey never did she hated her back)
Has really blond hair and it just gets lighter every day
Hair has thinned a little bit
Has lost his newborn fuzz, lost his little sideburns he had at birth
Has tiny feet (much smaller than Hailey's)
Has short little legs
Has a really chunky double chin
Has super chubby cheeks ( I wonder who that came from?)
Likes to be wrapped up tight in his blanket
Likes car rides
He tracks things really well with his eyes
Likes to look outside


and most of all....
Makes your family happy- we are so glad to have him in our lives. Although 2 kids is challenging at times, I love being a mom and wouldn't trade anything for the 2 little joys in my life! I will post some recent pictures of him as soon as I get the camera from Justin.

I just love these pictures so much, they were taken when Mattix was just minutes old. Just thought I would share them.

Loving baby Mattix...

I just love him so so much. He is the best baby we could ask for. Just eats every 3 hours and pretty much sleeps all the rest of the time. I got out Hailey's newborn picture the other day and I swear Hailey and Mattix look like the same baby, but MAttix has tons more hair than Hailey did. I thought maybe he looked more like me this time, but maybe I just give birth to little Justins. Right now his eyes are blue, they look different than Hailey's. Maybe they will stay blue and he might get one feature from his momma.

Halloween and more...

Hailey was a lady bug for Halloween this year- she loved it! Justin and I carved pumpkins with her and it was way fun. Justin had the day off so it was fun to do Halloween together. Hailey loved trick-or-treating and it was especially fun in our neighborhood. It was crazy here! Everyone goes all out and there were so many kids I couldn't believe it! She crashed at the end of trick-or-treating I ended up carrying her asleep on me the last couple of blocks. I just love how she still does the stink bug with her bum when she sleeps.

Mattix is two and a half weeks old in most of these pictures. I just love having a new baby boy in our home. He is the sweetest little guy. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
